SW Herb Shop & Gathering Place has a long tradition of herbal education that goes beyond the classroom. After completing our 5-week Certification Course, students may join our volunteer apprenticeship program to deepen their knowledge through hands-on practiceโcrafting products, helping with day-to-day shop tasks, connecting with customers, and building relationships with fellow herbal enthusiasts. Apprentices gain mentorship and continuing education opportunities, as well as firsthand experience in what it takes to run a successful, heart-centered business rooted in authentic healing. Itโs a chance to get closer to the plants, learn the rhythms of an herbal apothecary, and become woven into the heart of our community.
Requirements
Applicants must have successfully completed SW Herbโs 5-week Certification Course or intensive program and demonstrate a foundational understanding of herbs and holistic healing principles. Apprentices are expected to commit to one day per week for a three-month period, with availability between Tuesday and Saturday. Participation includes an interview with a store team member prior to acceptance, as well as holding a current Arizona Food Handlerโs Card.
